Calibration

What is calibration ?

Calibration consists of comparing your instrument to benchmark standards and recording the measurement result on a number of points defined in a calibration procedure. If necessary, a compliance assessment can be carried out against a specification on the calibrated points.

A calibration certificate is provided for each calibrated instrument, including all the results of measurements carried out according to the procedure (including compliance where relevant). This document allows you to make corrections to your instrument to improve the accuracy of its measurement process, and understand its drift over successive calibrations.
