What are verification in metrology?

When carrying out checks, your instrument is compared to benchmark standards and a compliance assessment is carried out in relation to specifications. To pass the compliance assessment, the measurement results must be within the interval calculated from the specifications defined either by the manufacturer, by a standard, or by you.

The default measurement procedure applied by ASERTI Metrology allows compliance to be assessed across all specifications. A verification report is provided for each instrument checked. The report allows you to approve the use of your instrument and put it back into service in its production or research process.
