Preventive maintenance
Preventive maintenance, intended to reduce the probability of failure or deterioration in your asset functioning
Preventive maintenance consists of working on equipment before it fails, to try and prevent it from breaking. We will carry out preventive work either for reasons of operational safety (where the consequences of a failure are unacceptable), for economic reasons (it is less expensive), or sometimes for practical reasons (the equipment is only available for maintenance at specific times).
Preventive maintenance is also based on the notion of maximum uptime, which influences the work carried out
Preventive maintenance is in turn subdivided into:
- System maintenance: refers to operations carried out systematically, either according to a schedule (at a fixed time periodicity), or according to frequency of use (hours of operation, number of units produced, number of movements carried out, etc.);
- Conditional maintenance: carried out following technical summaries, measurements and checks revealing the state of degradation of the equipment;
- Predictive maintenance: carried out following an assessment of how the state of the equipment’s degradation is evolving.

In the workshop after receiving the materials, or on site in agreement with production to limit machine downtime

Cleaning, repairing solders and connectors, replacing components with a limited lifespan (capacitors, optocouplers, relays, fans, etc.)
